Brett has gained his procurement experience from over 15 years in the Pharmaceutical, Health Care, Environmental Services, Logistics, Engineering and Manufacturing sectors through Australia, Asia Pacific and globally. Affan Mohd. Nawi, started his first “procurement” stint as a consultant with A.T.Kearney Inc., more than 15 years ago. Affan was also involved in the implementation of an SAP eProcurement solution for Malaysia’s national oil company, PETRONAS, before joining Malaysia’s Investment arm, Khazanah Nasional in 2006. In Khazanah, Affan was instrumental in the Procurement Transformation efforts and later assisted several Government Linked Companies in their Procurement Transformation journey.

Affan had had his hands deep in several enterprise transformation projects involving Pantai Holdings Group (now Integrated Health) and UEM Builders. Prior to joining Malakoff, Affan was the General Manager, Category Management, Group Procurement, Telekom Malaysia. Affan is now the Senior Vice President, Corporate Services Division of Malakoff Berhad.

Malakoff is an Independent Power Producer in Malaysia and overseas, with more than 6,000MW of power generated nationwide.

Affan graduated from Carnegie Mellon University in 1996/1997 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Information and Decision Sciences and Master’s in Information Systems. Affan is also a Certified Procurement & Supply Chain trainer.

Peter Chen leads the Procurement Capabilities and Operations team of Axiata Group Berhad, one of Asia’s largest telecommunication companies. In his Capabilities role, Chen is responsible for ensuring that Procurement processes, including policies and systems across the Axiata Group are executed in a controlled, effective and efficient manner. He is also responsible to develop the Group-wide functional capability development curriculum for the procurement team at Axiata and its subsidiaries. In addition, his team is also responsible for performance management, reporting, analytics as well as internal process reviews. In his Operations role, Chen leads the procurement function of Axiata Group Corporate headquarters.

Prior to joining Axiata, Chen led the Procurement Performance Excellence team at DiGi, a Telenor company. During his tenure with DiGi, he spent a year in Kolkata, india as part of the team starting up Telenor’s operations there. Chen began his career as an engineer with Motorola before joining Parker Hannifin Aerospace as a Customer Support Manager.

Miss Tianrong Chen has been working as a procurement professional since 2008 with rich experience in both public and private sectors, and is the youngest committee member of CIPS Singapore.
She holds full membership of CIPS (MCIPS) and a Master Degree of Logistics and Supply Chain Management from University of Sheffield. 
Tianrong started her career at Alstom Transport Singapore and was heavily involved with procurement activities for the construction of Singapore’s Circle Line and Downtown Line subway; she also worked in IT procurement field for government sector. Head of Procurement in Maybank Kim Eng Group, Penny started her career as an IT specialist, later exploring IT sourcing. She has more than 15 years of experience in various industries from hospitality, IT and financial services.

Over the past five years she has been with Maybank, having started as IT Category Senior Sourcing Analyst before being promoted to Head of Procurement at Maybank Kim Eng Group in 2014. She is leading Maybank Kim Eng overall procurement transformation journey.

In Maybank Kim Eng, she has setup the procurement department in 2015, achieved significant savings, cost avoidance and other value creation by working together with business units.

Sebastian started his procurement career with Agilent Technologies (a spin-off from Hewlett Packard) as their Country Manager for India, Singapore, Thailand & Philippines before he took on the portfolio as the Regional Procurement Manager. Sebastian then moved on to join Microsoft & Alcatel Lucent as Head of Procurement to transform their procurement organization in Asia Pacific region.

In 2014, Sebastian Chua took on a new challenge to accept the opportunity to transform the public procurement practices at Health Promotion Board (HPB), a statutory board under the Ministry of Health. He reports to CEO, HPB in his current role as Head of Procurement.

Siju Johny is the Chief Procurement Officer for NSW Trains and got the full responsibility for Strategic Procurement, contract management, supplier relationship management, Probity and governance. He joined NSW Trains in 2013. Under his leadership NSW Trains was awarded as the first Public organisation in Australasia to be certified for Ethical Procurement by CIPS.

Prior to joining NSW Trains Siju was with Singtel Optus as Group Strategic sourcing manager. He has also led the successful implementation of various SAP modules in different organisations. Siju has also worked for blue chip companies such as Westpac, Veolia, Portland Group, Caltex etc to establish procurement teams in Greenfield operations as well as transformation project in established functions, developing teams, skills uplift, systems process and policies, implementing strategic sourcing, category management and setting the long term strategic direction for the function. Siju has extensive knowledge of the different procurement and supply chain environments in both direct and indirect areas. He has also been the key note speaker in various international procurement conferences and presented and conducted procurement training across AUS & NZ.

Siju holds a master’s degree in Business Administration and is a qualified Charted Accountant. He is also a Fellow of Charted Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS). In recent years Siju’s efforts in Procurement was recognised through Best Procurement Initiative in Australasia award by CIPS and Most Successful SAP Implementation Project by SAP.

His journey as Chief Procurement Officer starts with leading the Procurement Transformation program in TM, known as VERSYS Project. It was the change catalyst to institute robust Category Management and Supplier Strategic Management in TM’s procurement practices whilst ensuring appropriate procurement controls and governance remains intact.

Clara Ng is Head of Procurement at China Navigation Company Pte Ltd (CNCo) based in Singapore, the Marine division of Swire Group. She joined CNCo in 2014 to lead a Strategic Procurement, which entails redefining policies & procedures across multiple sub-divisions as well as corporate level. Her current role builds on a distinguished 17-year career with Cathay Pacific (CX) Hong Kong, another company under Swire family, where she rose through the ranks of procurement to her final position as a key member of their Strategic Procurement Development team. This experience has given her in-depth understanding of Engineering, Airline, and Maritime Procurement in both Hong Kong and Singapore, as well as strategic procurement skills such as category management, contract management, continuous improvement, and supplier management. She supported to achieve US 550 million saving, managed US 5 billion in assets and US 2 billion contract spend in various priority projects in CX, e.g. Technical Spare Supplies, Aircraft Warranty, Aircraft Engine Maintenance Program and Procurement Transformation, etc. In 2016, she accomplished a procurement transformation Project in Fuel Category successfully. She held a Master degree in Transport Policy and Planning, while she moved to Singapore with her family in 2013.

Ernie is currently, the Group Head of Sourcing, where he is responsible for AIA Group’s sourcing and procure to pay (P2P) functions. Chee Yong has over 20 years of experience in finance, business development, merging and acquisition, transformation office, property management, administration, security, strategic sourcing and e-procurement across Asia Pacific Region and a host of industries.

He implemented lean and effective procurement structure to provide agile services to RHB Banking Group, thus reducing Procurement personnel by 50%, yet managing transactions and activities more than double. On process and technology, he led end to end procure to pay process via automation from the registration of supplier, RFP/RFQ, ebidding, PO issuance and award, contract depository, payment processing, vendor performance evaluation and spend analysis including forward planning and category management. He manages matrix and dashboard performance tracking and reporting to ensure best customer services and optimise financial benefits to the banking group. He engaged supplier to promote latest innovation and performance while ensuring cost effectiveness for the group. Risk management to ensure sustainability of supplies to the group with the appropriate value, and he believes that group procurement is one of the key drivers for growth in the group instead of a Support Cost Centre.

He served as  the business process and compliance leader for Motorola Mobility, SABIC APAC and Resorts World at Sentosa. As a member of Change Control board at Motorola, he was a key influencer in transforming Motorola’s Supplier Relationship Management system (known as MOTISS). Chong Choon Hung is the Procurement Director - Singapore, Malaysia and Brunei of Bottling Investments Group at The Coca-Cola Company. He has been working for the Coca-Cola System since Feb 2013. He graduated with a BA Honors degree in Economics from the Northern University of Malaysia.

Chong began his professional career with Hualon Corporation, a Taiwanese textile manufacturer, as Purchasing Officer. He moved to British American Tobacco Malaysia and spent 13.5 years there handling various supply chain and procurement positions, including an overseas assignment in South Korea.

Chong’s role in Coca-Cola has recently been expanded to lead Cold Drink Equipment operations. He is also driving business development in hot beverage category for the company as part of her career development plan to gain commercial experience.

His notable major achievement was winning two consecutive years in Best Supply Chain Award competing with thirty over companies from the group in 2014 and 2015 respectively.
