Kaustubh has over 20 years of experience in fields of Strategic Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Commodities Trading and Strategy Consulting, ranging from operational to executive leadership roles at regional and global levels. Kaustubh joined the Singtel Group in July 2014 as Group Chief Procurement Officer where he oversees the procurement and supply chain activities for the group companies in Singapore (Singtel & NCS) and Australia (Optus). Prior to joining Singtel, Kaustubh was the regional CPO & Director of Sourcing/Supplier Relations China & Asia Pacific at Starbucks, based in Hong Kong. He played a pivotal role in regonialising the supply network for Starbucks Asia Pacific. Before joining Starbucks he held various global and regional leadership positions at Kraft Foods Inc., managing procurement strategy, direct and indirect materials procurement portfolios as well as procurement operations based out of London, Chicago and Zurich. Dr. Christina S. S. Ooi

Dr Christina Ooi is currently Head, Group Procurement, in Malaysia Airlines Berhad, responsible to drive world class world class procurement transformational leadership and efficiencies under its restructuring programme. She brings with her decades of corporate management experience in various Asia Pacific regional senior positions. Previously, she was Senior Vice President, Procurement Management for a Malaysian telecommunication company for five years to spearhead its strategic procurement transformation. Christina was also in the IBM Corporation for 18.5 years where she held key local and Asia Pacific roles in Sourcing, Commodity/Category Management, Global Contracts Council, country management for Malaysia and Singapore, and as ASEAN/South Asia regional procurement manager. Her last stint in IBM Singapore saw her lead the procurement services practice for a global client across Asia Pacific, Middle East, Turkey, and South Africa. She is a certified Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaysia, and a published author of her first book on talent management.

Bernadette Maier
Head of Procurement, NEMEA, APAC, LATAM, RCIS & Greater China

Bernadette is in charge of Takeda’s procurement for Emerging Markets – responsible for the strategic development and direction of procurement in the Emerging Markets (LATAM, Russia/CIS, NEMEA, APAC, Greater China) in alignment with all business objectives and P&L responsibility. Leading a cross-functional/ multi-national, value delivery focused procurement team across several regions.

Defining and leading the deployment of global and regional initiatives, driving process efficiency's & cost-effectiveness, quality and compliance in close collaboration with key stakeholders focusing on value delivery and capability building.

Rob Halsall
Westpac New Zealand

Rob Halsall is currently the CPO for Westpac New Zealand, having held senior roles within Westpac Group in Australia, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and the University of Sydney. Rob has over 20 years international procurement experience within Automotive, Chemicals, Aerospace, Telecommunications, Tertiary and Financial Services organisations. Rob’s current role includes responsibility for all Technology and non-Technology procurement as well as Procurement Operations, Commercial Analytics, Governance Management and driving the sustainable procurement agenda. Key career achievements include being the youngest recipient globally to be awarded FCIPS status in 2011, post grad lecturing at the University of Sydney Business School, being a Board member of Drive Electric NZ and being an active coach and mentor and accredited professional in Emotional Intelligence, Workplace Motivators and Behaviourial intelligence. Rob is also the Managing Director of providing high performance coaching and business advisory services to assist individuals and businesses achieve the outcomes they strive for.

Penny Chong

Maybank Kim Eng Group

Penny is the Head of Procurement at Maybank Kim Eng, an investment banking arm of Maybank (a Malaysian universal bank). She has more than 15 years of experience in various industries from hospitality, IT and financial services. Over the past five and a half years she has been with the Maybank Group. She joins the Maybank Kim Eng Group in 2014 and setup the procurement department in year 2015, leading the Maybank Kim Eng overall procurement transformation journey. 

Penny is leading a team of 3, has standardized the procurement process and currently centralized sourcing activities and contract management for the Maybank Kim Eng groups of companies, presence in 10 countries. Her team is managing procurement spend with a total yearly budget close to RM300mil. 

Within the 3 years transformation journey, Penny has achieved significant savings, built good business partner relationship with the key stakeholders in the organization and amplified trust from the business units. 

Mohamad Mohamad Zain
Chief Procurement Officer
Telekom Malaysia

In his 24 year stay with Telekom Malaysia, he has been tasked to lead various assignments in TM Group involving Insurance Management, Enterprise Risk Management, Enterprise Business Management and Revenue Assurance & Fraud Management. He is managing 391 staffs including logistic and warehousing operation. 

Beginning September 2014, he has been entrusted to lead the Group Procurement Division. His journey as Chief Procurement Officer starts with leading the Procurement Transformation program in TM, known as VERSYS Project.  It was the change catalyst to institute robust Category Management and Supplier Strategic Management in TM’s procurement practices whilst ensuring appropriate procurement controls and governance remains intact.

Ernie Tan
Group Head of Sourcing

Ernie is currently, the Group Head of Sourcing, where he is responsible for AIA Group’s sourcing and procure to pay (P2P) functions. His team includes 11 executives in Group Office and 70+ in the countries.  In this role, he is responsible for streamlining and leveraging AIA’s total expenditure; maximize the value and manage the risk associated with the use of third party suppliers and service providers. He oversees the group’s business case/project approval process, the offshore finance shared services and P2P transformation projects, as well. His best achievement in procurement is he was able to transform AIA’s procurement practices and implemented fully digitized P2P process.

Swapnil Dubey

Customer centricity is another key driver for all engagements and business relations.  

He is experienced and skilled in supply chain strategy and transformation initiatives to create and manage strategic plans and implement workable solutions, operational targets and goals. He is leading Supply Chain Transformation program to make Supply Chain agile, resilient and future-proof. 

Jasmin Abu Bakar is currently leading the procurement transformation journey in CIMB Bank, driving the cost efficiencies, operational improvements, strategic regional operating model roll out under the T18 Transformation program of CIMB Group. She has more than 30 years of experience in various portfolios of operations, property management, customer service and procurement. Her driving force and passion for procurement, coupled with her experience in operations led her to be highly instrumental in leading transformational procurement programmes in several organizations including Telco, Airline and Financial Institutions. Jasmin joined CIMB in 2016 and holds a key role in leading the team to roll out the Procurement Regional Operating Model covering category management, procurement operations, systems & support, vendor & contract management. She is also accountable for the procurement strategies and operations in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Cambodia and other international offices. She is a passionate believer in building talent for the organization, merging the existing team members and new hires to spearhead a strong team of procurement specialists who will drive forward the required results for the organization.

She is responsible for leading Procurement Organization and Transformation to become Strategic business partner, delivering organization excellence in various strategic objectives i.e. Building Commercial Success with Strategic Sourcing, Improving Operational Efficiency through e-procurement and digital technology, Organization and People Capability Enhancement. He is also accountable to transform the Sourcing department building a strategic sourcing unit and a Center of Procurement Excellence.

Tracey has started her procurement role working for a major chain of US department stores many years ago to be involved in buying all sorts of merchandise globally. For the past 15 years, her procurement work experience is in IT and banking industry leading strategic sourcing team in managing critical categories and high-spend regional projects, and managing strategic outsourcing suppliers. It has always been her aspiration as a procurement professional to create competitive advantage for the corporation. And she has always found it fascinating to be working with the international team of diverse cultures including meeting up with suppliers from different places and she has learned so much from them.

Murugan takes care of Mahindra Holidays and Resorts Limited’s procurement department for 40 resorts all over India, which includes setting up the purchase and stores department function for the new resorts including recruitment of the right candidate.  He has a total of 60 staffs working under him currently, and has an annual budget of over USD 7 Million. 

He is very proud to be able to bring about savings of Rs. 50 Crores for the organisation. The morale of staff was very low when he took over the function due to the remote locations of the properties, which makes sourcing very difficult. When he took over, he was able to organise the department, set up a good training program and increase the morale of staffs. He also initiated and hosted an annual event which changed the outlook of his people, and also the central purchase contract which not only brought savings but also eased the procurement process overall.

Dorthe Bergholdt

Dorthe Bergholdt is the VP of Global Sourcing with BW Offshore. She leads a global team of 25, spread over Category Management, Contract Management, Sourcing and Vendor Qualification. The Sourcing team was built over the last 3 years and has been put in place to ensure a global leverage of the Company’s spend as well as professionalising the Vendor Relationship Management. The team’s main accomplishment over the 3 years include implementing a comprehensive risk based Vendor qualification process, significantly increasing “Spend under Management” by establishing Umbrella and Frame Agreements with critical vendors and for high frequency purchases and creating a Category approach to complex spend areas, thereby ensuring a holistic view on the SC, including a tight involvement of technical experts in the processes.
Dorthe will share the learnings and tools the team has used to get a strong handle on the risk imposed on BW through their vendors yet enabling a nimble SC.

Maria Luisa V. Alvendia

With over 25 years of experience , Maria has managed procurement teams in different industries such as automotive, telecommunications, media , IT and  BPO in the North America and Asia regions.   Her accomplishments include creation of procurement shared services teams, implementation of enterprise resource systems and strategic negotiations with major vendor partners for the group. Maria was recently positioned as Chief of Staff to the Chief Corporate Services Officer of the PLDT Group, with Supply Chain Management as one of the 9 groups under CCSO and as one of her  areas of  responsibility.  Part of her task is continued oversight of the procurement functions for the Group. Clara Ng

Clara Ng is Group Procurement Manager of The China Navigation Company Pte Ltd (CNCo) based in Singapore Head Office, acting as head of procurement.  It is one of the Marine division of Swire Group, parent company is located in London. She joined CNCo in 2014 to lead a Strategic Procurement program, which entails redefining Global Standard policy and procedures across multiple sub-divisions as well as corporate level.   Geographically, the role covers SG, AU, NZ, PNG, Fiji, China, etc.  In addition, she oversees Bunker fuel, IT, travel and key corporate procurement activities in Group Procurement Office, which is officially announced in 2018.

Her current role builds on a distinguished 17-year career with Cathay Pacific (CX) Hong Kong, another company under Swire family, where she rose through the ranks of procurement to her final position as a key member of their Strategic Procurement Development team.  This experience has given her in-depth understanding of Engineering and Airline Procurement in Hong Kong and assisted her to apply to Maritime Procurement in Singapore, as well as strategic procurement skills such as category management, contract management, continuous improvement, and supplier management. Overall, she supported to achieve US 550 million saving, managed US 5 billion in assets and US 2 billion contract spend in various priority projects in CX, e.g. Technical Spare Supplies, Aircraft Warranty, Aircraft Engine Maintenance Program and Procurement Transformation, etc.  In 2016, she accomplished a procurement transformation Project in Fuel Category successfully.  She holds a Master degree in Transport Policy and Planning.  She moved to Singapore with her family in 2013”

Chin Yeow is the current Head of Procurement for Puma Energy in Middle East-Asia Pacific. He has extensive senior management experience in the Asia Pacific region as the Head of Procurement for ThyssenKrupp and IT Sourcing Director for General Electric. He previously worked for Globalfoundries, United Microelectronics Corporation and Micron in various procurement, supply chain and engineering capacities. Chin Yeow holds an Executive MBA degree from Singapore Management University and Bachelor of Engineering degree from National University of Singapore. Bhavesh SHAH is the Corporate Vice President, Chief Purchasing Officer. He is responsible for the strategic leadership of sourcing, procurement and supplier collaboration for Firmenich worldwide. He is a member of the Executive Leadership of the company.

Arun Kumar is responsible for the design and establishment of a Global Procurement Function at Perfetti Van Melle (PVM), a market leader in Sugar Confectionery, whose brands include Mentos, Chupa Chups, Fruitella and Alpenliebe. Arun’s prior assignment in PVM was to lead the Supply Chain Function of PVM Asia Pacific. His key responsibilities include Regional Sourcing, Demand Management, Capacity Planning and Customer Fulfilment. In this role, Arun led the Supply Chain teams of PVM in Asia which, between them, serviced over 15 Asian markets and several markets outside Asia. Arun was also member of the PVM’s Global Supply Chain Leadership Team. Before this, Arun lead the Supply Chain of PVM India where Arun was instrumental in designing and establishing a Service Level System for Customer Fulfilment. In a price inelastic market, Arun led the Sourcing Team in generating sustainable and continuous savings by leveraging vendor relationships and working collaboratively with vendors.

Lucy Zhuang
Regional Procurement Head, Greater Asia

Ms. Lucy Zhuang is Director & Head of Procurement for Intel Corporation in Greater Asia region. She leads up indirect sourcing team and manages spends across different categories like Marketing & Communication, Travel, Professional Service, IT Equipment, Telecom and Connectivity , Health and Benefits etc.

Lucy has more than 20 years’ experience spanning across different areas of supply chain covering logistics, import/export trade, procurement and planning. She also has rich experience in the project management, especially in green-field site ramping up.  In most recent three years, she has been actively driving Intel’s Sustainable Supply Chain strategy implementation in the region.

Subha Dutta
Global Head of Sourcing and Logistics, Convenience Retail

Subha is a qualified supply chain professional with 2 decades of diverse leadership experience in end to end supply chain management, commercial contract negotiations and strategic problem solving with strong focus on delivery and value creation through operational transformation. He is currently the Regional Head of Logistics in Shell Lubricants Supply Chain, Asia Pacific, Middle East and South Africa. Prior to this position, he was heading Sourcing and Logistics for Shell’s Global Convenience Retail business with responsibility to source ~$4bn worth of products catering to over 6000 stores across 22 markets globally. In Shell, he also worked as a Senior Strategy Consultant developing robust strategy solutions for the different Downstream businesses across many geographies namely China, India, SEA, Australia, Western Europe and US.

Subha started his career as a Management Trainee with Unilever in India and honed his people management skills as the youngest Manufacturing Manager responsible to run and modernize one of the biggest plants in India. He later went on to design and lead e2e supply chain transformation programs with ConAgra Foods as their National Logistics Manager and Coca Cola as the General Manager Logistics to drive both cost efficiency and customer satisfaction. In his professional life, he spends a lot of time mentoring and developing talent and helping them fulfil their potential.

Rui Santos

Rui is currently Deutsche Bank’s Head of Procurement for APAC. In this capacity, Rui looks after the cross-category management and material addressable third party spend of a diverse vendor portfolio across 15 countries. Rui joins Deutsche from Barclays where he was a founding member of the Barclays Sourcing Center in Singapore, responsible for the Bank’s global strategic sourcing and category management across the UK, Western Europe, US, and Africa.  He managed sourcing teams focused on technology and operations services in payments, cash management, commercial and consumer credit data and debt recovery. 

Ramesh Krishnamoorthy
Head of Procurement, Asean Pacific

Ramesh is the Head of Procurement for Philips Asean Pacific region. His organization is responsible to fuel profitability and growth in Asean Pacific region through strong strategic relationships, providing procurement insight, innovative thought leadership, and direction to transform the value offering of the Philips businesses. A key part of his responsibility is to develop and drive multi-year Procurement strategies and initiatives at various levels with respect to key policy decisions and resolution of high impact issues.

Prior to Philips, Ramesh spent the better part of his career transforming and running Supply Chain and Procurement organisations in companies such as Hewlett Packard, Motorola and Hughes Software Systems. He started his career with the Indian Armed Forces as a commissioned officer. Ramesh has worked in senior leadership positions with P&L responsibilties both in general management and supply chain development capacities in Europe, Middle East, South East Asia and Asia Pacific and Japan regions.

Ramesh is a thought leader in Procurement and Supply Chain and makes valuable contribution to the industry by speaking in various professional procurement forums. He has published various white papers on Strategic Sourcing and supplier management and is an Advisor to the PSB Academy Singapore as a part of the Science and Advisory Panel.

Ramesh holds Executive certifications in Export Marketing from Indian Institute of Foreign Trade and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Export Management and a degree from University of Delhi.

Noelle Lee
Vice President, WW Procurement R&D & Greater Asia Procurement

Noelle Lee is Vice President, WW R&D Procurement & Greater Asia Procurement in the Global Procurement function of Becton Dickinson & Co (BD) based in New Jersey, USA. She is responsible for Global Procurement R&D team and provides leadership to BD’s Greater Asia Procurement team. Noelle leads a global team of procurement associates to drive sourcing strategies that supports the enterprise growth ambitions and innovation pipeline. As part of the Global Procurement Leadership team, she also leads procurement transformation, culture and talent agenda and drive M&A synergies initiatives. Noelle joined BD in 2013 where she led the Greater Asia Procurement team and was responsible for a wide portfolio of direct and indirect categories and Source-to-Pay services. 

Prior to BD, Noelle was with Diageo as the Global Head of Procurement for Global Travel, Middle East and North Africa. She also brings diverse experience in various procurement, category management, key account management and sales roles across Medical Technology, Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting and Electronics industries. Besides USA, she has operated out of Singapore, Malaysia and China in previous careers.

Stan is a senior strategic sourcing professional with over 20 years of business experiences in strategic procurement & sourcing and 7 years of other various businesses such as IT & MIS management, Sales & Marketing/Operations and Customer Service functions. He is currently a Director for APAC Regional Procurement and Strategic Sourcing at eBay. He has lived in Seoul, Korea and Sydney, Australia but now lives in Singapore. Inna Le Guen is a senior procurement executive with 15+ years of experience in Procurement. Inna held a variety of global and regional roles in Russia, Europe, North America and Asia. She worked in a number of Fortune 500 companies: Pfizer, Xerox, KPMG and most recently Manulife Financial.
