Akshat Shah

As head of industrial engineering of Singapore, Akshat oversees the operational aspect of UPS’s small package business. Based in Singapore, his teams work towards driving service excellence, operational effectiveness, and process optimization. His teams lead technology projects for Singapore and projects related to capacity expansions. Akshat joined UPS as an Assistant Manager at the company’s head office in India in 2014 under the Indian Subcontinent, Middle East and Africa (ISMEA) region. In 2015, Akshat moved to Singapore and has gained experience across contract logistics, freight forwarding and small package business units of UPS. Prior to joining UPS, he worked in the Corporate Strategy team for an Indian Conglomerate and has experience working in Oil and Gas operations/procurement. Overall, he has worked across operations, procurement, and engineering/operations excellence functions. Akshat holds an MBA in Global Logistics and Supply Chain from SP Jain School of Business, Singapore and a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MS University of Baroda, India.
