Amber Meriwether

Amber Meriwether, JD, MA currently leads the R&D Procurement team in Japan for Astellas Pharma. Prior to this role, she was the global lead for Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs Sourcing at Astellas. She and her team have delivered global category models that add to value by transforming operations and realizing cost savings. Before joining Astellas in 2014, Amber worked in various medical research roles at the University of Chicago. While there, she expanded the research infrastructure to support department growth from 12 studies at a 1 site to 50+ studies across 4 hospitals. She is an author on more than a half dozen articles and abstracts published in legal and peer-reviewed medical journals. Amber holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Chicago, a master's degree in Bioethics from Northwestern University, and a JD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
