Francis Lai

With more than 23 years’ experience covering a wide spectrum of related roles in finance and accounting in listed entities on the Mainboard and Catalist Board of the Singapore Stock Exchange (SGX) throughout his career, Francis is currently the Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary and Sustainability Council Lead of Far East Group Limited. He possesses deep corporate experience across multiple industries; specializing in corporate advisory, M&A, organization transformation, treasury, risk management, regulatory compliance, and strong corporate governance and stewardship and is involved in strategising growth, developing business expansion plans through sustainable endeavours. As the Group’s Sustainability Council Lead, he drives the Group’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy and Sustainability roadmap. Francis started his career as an entrepreneur in the education industry. He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of Singapore (FCA Singapore) and a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA).
