Gernot Dobida

Gernot leads the Market Operations team for Asia Pacific & Japan within Nokia Supply Chain and Procurement.

Joining Nokia in 2000, over the past eighteen years, Gernot has assumed several leadership roles within Nokia, in Regional-, Global Services and Procurement based in Europe, Middle East and Africa. During that time, he has led numerous international teams and ensured the Operations strategy alignment with business requirements. In January 2019, Gernot was appointed Head of Market Operations Asia Pacific and Japan, based in Singapore.

In his current role, Gernot leads a team responsible for the front-end supply chain, acting as the single point of contact in the Market for all Nokia Supply Chain and Procurement topics. With the objective to optimize customer value and Nokia Supply Chain and Procurement performance, his responsibilities cover Pre-Sales support, e2e Market Procurement, Demand Planning and Delivery Execution.

Striving towards building a customer-centric Market Operations team, he is very focused on establishing direct customer relationships across the market to continuously capture the drivers of customer value and related capability requirements. A result driven and people-oriented leader, Gernot has a proven track record of successfully delivering on objectives and leading change in complex environments.

Gernot holds a degree in Civil Engineering from the Höhere Technische Lehranstalt in Graz, Austria.

Gernot is married and has one child. In his spare time, Gernot is an enthusiastic cyclist and diver.
