Dr. Prasanta Gupta is an accomplished professional and a seasoned leader, currently serving as Executive Vice President and Chief Procurement Officer at Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), a specialty chemical giant in India. Dr. Gupta is recognized in industry and academia as a thought leader, one who brought Science into the Art of Procurement. He is a proponent of Blockchain, Circular Economy, Industry-Academia collaboration and HiPo team building. He is the winner of many accolades including 'CPO of the year 2024', 'Transformational Supply Chain Leader of the Year 2024', 'Outstanding Procurement Leader of the year 2024' and 'CPO of the year 2026'. Under his leadership, AIL received the prestigious CIPS Asia-ProcureCon Excellence Award 2022 in Singapore, ISCM Top Ten Chemical Supply Chain Company Award 2023, 2024 and 2025 and IIMM Corporate Excellence Award 2024. Throughout his career spanning over three decades in Marketing, Aftermarket, Business Development & Supply Chain Management, he demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities in the leading organizations, including Larsen & Toubro Ltd, Reliance Infrastructure Ltd, Essel Mining and Industries Ltd, TIL Ltd (Caterpillar) and Saud Bahwan Group (Muscat, Oman) travelling over 43 countries. Dr. Gupta is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP) in USA. He is also a member in the Board of Studies of the Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM).
