With more than 25 years of experience across the banking, automotive, and manufacturing sectors, Tommy Pinontoan is a seasoned procurement and supply chain leader recognized for driving strategic transformation, operational efficiency, and digital innovation. Currently serving as Head of Procurement at Super Bank Indonesia, an affiliate of Grab's digital banking ecosystem. His expertise spans strategic sourcing, vendor management, procurement transformation, and stakeholder collaboration across highly regulated industries. Prior to his current role, Tommy held senior procurement leadership positions at major global financial institutions including HSBC, Standard Chartered Bank, and Citibank in Indonesia, where he led large-scale procurement integration, digital transformation, sourcing optimization, and cost management initiatives. His leadership approach combines strategic thinking with practical execution, enabling organizations to transform procurement into a consultative and value-generating business function. Tommy's professional journey also includes key roles with ABB, General Motors, and Nissan Motor Corporation, where he developed deep expertise in supply chain management, sourcing strategy, operational excellence, and regional procurement collaboration. He holds a Master of Business and Technology from The University of New South Wales. Passionate about the future of procurement, Tommy actively advocates for procurement transformation through innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning, guided by his personal philosophy: "Qui Docet Discit".
