Valda Tsang Tolentino

Valda is a global procurement leader with 20 years of experience from a wide range of sectors – from healthcare, pharma, retail, banking & finance, natural resources to renewables. She is currently the Head of Global Indirect Sourcing - Supply Chain at Maxeon Solar Technologies, a leader in global solar innovation and manufacturing in residential, industrial and power plant projects. In her current capacity, Valda is accountable for procurement transformation across a broad indirects portfolio. Prior to Maxeon, Valda spent a decade at Rio Tinto developing global indirects category management from infancy to maturity, across a complex landscape. At Rio, she also ran corporate real estate, including orchestration of Rio’s CRE response to COVID-19 in FM operations, location portfolio review and workplace design towards the future of work. Prior to Singapore, Valda held multiple global & regional procurement roles in banking & finance, retail and pharma in Hong Kong & Australia. Valda is passionate towards the development of diverse and inclusive teams, particularly supporting gender-balance and personal development associated with women of colour. Valda holds a Master of Business Administration from the Monash Graduate School of Business, and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)/Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia.
