Head of Procurement Spark New Zealand

Dan is Head of Procurement at Spark New Zealand. Spark is New Zealand’s largest telecommunications and digital services company with revenues of NZD$3.6b per annum. Spark’s customers range from consumers and households to small businesses, government and large enterprises. Across all its services – mobile, broadband, cloud services, digital services and entertainment – Spark has relevance for almost every New Zealander. In his role Dan leads the Network, IT, Property and Field Force Procurement functions and is responsible for Spark’s cost management programme as well as a supporter of Spark’s digital equity programme. Dan played a key role in Spark’s crisis response to New Zealand going into lockdown in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing recovery. Dan has over 17 years’ experience in a variety of commercial and procurement roles in the Technology and Logistics sectors. Before Spark, Dan worked at CEVA Logistics in the UK, Fujitsu and TelstraClear in New Zealand. Dan holds an Executive MBA from Victoria University of Wellington
