Meng Leong Tan

Meng Leong has been a life-long learner of procurement discipline over the last 16 years, drawing precious learning experience from various multi-nationals, such as FreeMarkets, HP, Hewitt Associates, CSC, Chain IQ and NetApp, with global foot prints while sensitive to business climates and cultures of APAC countries.  The journey enriched Meng Leong with comprehensive understanding of the whole end-to-end process, from spend analysis to payment, across many categories of direct and indirect procurement, even setting up of new teams and processes.  Prior to moving to procurement, Meng Leong was on the other side, as an engineering ‘business’ stakeholder, when he was with Republic of Singapore Navy for 8 years, during which he learned and collaborated with its procurement function, to bring about best values for Republic of Singapore Navy for its naval building, repair and maintenance projects and programs.
