Kay Van-Petersen

Kay Van-Petersen has over 15yrs experience in the global financial markets, across a variety of different strategies as a trader & analyst. He was worked in London, Copenhagen, Hong Kong & Singapore – across banks & hedge funds. He is known for his actionable & at times contrarian views across the global macro sphere (Equities, Bonds, Currencies & Commodities), as well as in the crypto universe. He is one of the few bank strategists to have been a big public crypto advocate from as early as 2014 & made the prediction in late 2016 when Bitcoin was around $700, that it would triple in 2017 (it ended up doing 14x for the year, going from 952 to 14,310). He’s a strong advocate of crypto assets, the underlying technology & feels that we are in the making of the biggest technological innovation since the dawn of the internet. As well as being personally invested & involved in the crypto ecosystem he has a number of different consulting roles in the space.
